Faux fur trend in the coming future

Many people is looking for nice outerwear, preparing for the coming winter. The Fur coat is no doubt an excellent choice that shields you against the cold. What do you think when you touch a real fur coat? Can you see the tear and blood of animals?

About 30 years ago, the phrase "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" came into people's eyes as People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) launched the anti-fur campaign. But today the animal rights group has quite this famous campaign. Surprisingly, it is the success, not the failure that brings this movement to an end.

"It's kind of rare for a charity to be able to cancel a campaign because of its success," said PETA's senior vice president of campaigns, Dan Matthews.

Thanks to this campaign, attitudes toward fur appear to have changed dramatically, which also has pushed the growth of the faux fur industry.

Today, the faux fur industry is going well, and I believe it will thrive in the near future.

There are signs telling its trend.

1. Legislations on the sale and production of fur products have been adopted in many countries.

Lawmakers around the world have been imposing stricter regulations or complete bans on animal skins. Numerous European countries have introduced partial bans, or outlawed the farming of animals like mink, fox and rabbit for the purpose of fur production.

2. Dozens of influencers and celebrities have been convinced.

Generations of celebrities took part in the anti-fur movement, including Pamela Anderson, Eva Mendes, Pink and Dennis Rodman, Christy Turlington, Tyra Banks,Kim Basinger and Gillian Anderson. From the very beginning of the campaign to the latest days, sports stars, musicians, actors singers join the anti-fur "group" one by one. Even Buckingham Palace announced that the Queen of England will no longer sport real fur.

3. Luxury brands and designers have turned off of  fur.

Many top fashion brands has remove fur from their collections. Some former supporters of the fur trade such as Versace, Gucci, Burberry, Michael Kors and Jean-Paul Gaultier have adopted a fur-free policy and opted for faux instead of real fur in fashion shows. Luxury online retailers, Net-a-Porter and Farfetch, have also stopped the real deal to stand against animal cruelty.

4. Fewer fur products in retail

Changes in retail also indicate the fur trade's "downward spiral. Macy has announced its decision to close its fur salons by 2021. At present, when purchasing, you are easily greeted by faux fur and related terms such as 'teddy', 'faux shearling' and 'borg' as a great number of retailers are aware of the new weather vane of the "fur" trading.

From these signs, we can say, faux fur is a promising fashion item.
